Earlysville – Boonesville

Distance: 49 miles
Climbing: 70 feet per mile

​Description: From the Crossroads Store, this modestly hilly ride heads south to Alberene then into eastern Nelson County to the Rockfish area. The next stretch is an out-and-back along 5 miles of the Rockfish River on one of the flattest stretches of road in the area, followed by a climb up to the village of Schuyler before finishing with 15 miles of rolling terrain back to the starting point. Don’t miss the Walton’s Mountain Museum in Schuyler.

Stores: Mile 0 (Crossroads); mile 33 (Schuyler)

Alerts:  There are two 2-mile stretches (at Mile 14.4 and Mile 35.6) on Route 6; traffic is fast but quite sparse and the road is broad with excellent pavement.
