Crossroads Store Out and Back (20, D, no drop, MH)

May 8 @ 9:00 am

Let’s meet at the Crossroad Store to be ready to roll at 9am. We can add extra miles if we are up for it. You can easily turn it into a 25 mile or a 30 mile option. I will only have time for 20 miles. If you are new in town, there is a fabulous pizza place next to the Crossroads Store called Dr. Ho’s Humble Pie. Your family will thank you… ūüôā

From the Crossroads Store, this route travels on mostly shaded roads to Keene and back.

Hi everyone, I may not be able to come this Sunday. It’s very easy to find the route though: from the Crossroad store, go left on Plank and stay there for 10 miles, until Keene. Then come back. You don’t cross 29. There is a gorgeous old mill house on the way (built in… 1740?) and a fresh water spring still going nearby.

NOTE: As of 01/01/2022, we have become a member-supported club.  We encourage all of our cycling friends to join us.  For new riders, our club insurance covers non-members of the club for their first ride only.  Thanks.

We are planning additional rides each week, so stay tuned!  If you are interested in helping to organize a group ride for the Club, please contact us!

For details on how group rides are categorized, check out the Ride Classification guidelines.

Requirements For Riders

All riders are required to have a helmet; a tail light, Road ID and a rear-view mirror is strongly recommended.  You are also expected to have adequate fluids and a road-worthy bicycle in good repair.  Many rides, but not all, will include the opportunity to stop at a store to replenish supplies.

You should be prepared to fix a flat tire and perform other minor repairs on the road side.  If you are new to cycling and are not comfortable with these procedures, don’t let that stop you.  However, you might want to talk to a more experienced member before the ride so the group is prepared to help if necessary.

Safety On The Road

The club considers safety to be our very highest priority.  Please review the information on the Safety Page before you join us for a ride.

We hope that you will find this site helpful; your questions and comments are welcomed.
