South River – Stanardsville (B, MH)
February 26 @ 10:30 am
Somewhat hilly, this ride is a good way to see Greene County. The short route goes through Stanardsville while the long route loops east and north around it.

26.02.2022Hi all, I know this is last minute but I’m a bit on the fence since it’s going to be high 30s when we start. Is everyone else still riding this morning?

26.02.2022Hi Jordan. I was planning on showing, up just in case others do too. I’m planning on bringing ALL my cold weather gear and decide based on what others want to do. I’m sick of canceling rides but the truth is, I don’t like the cold much either.

26.02.2022Sounds good! I mostly wanted to be sure I wasn’t the only one who came, especially because I don’t know the area and this route has more turns than I can write on my arm!

26.02.2022I hope to see you there, we can figure it out then. I might end up back home on Zwift, who knows? 😉

25.02.2022I will be there. I typically average 15-16mph so I should be able to handle the B ride, but haven’t done a lot of group riding. Mostly solo

22.02.2022Hi there! I am visiting family in Earlysville and would love to join. I have experience with longer group rides. Looking forward to it weather permitting!

22.02.2022I’m in, weather permitting!
NOTE: As of 01/01/2022, we have become a member-supported club. We encourage all of our cycling friends to join us. For new riders, our club insurance covers non-members of the club for their first ride only. Thanks.
As we head into Spring 2022, we are planning additional rides each week, so stay tuned! If you are interested in helping to organize a group ride for the Club, please contact us!
For details on how group rides are categorized, check out the Ride Classification guidelines.
Requirements For Riders
All riders are required to have a helmet; a tail light, Road ID and a rear-view mirror is strongly recommended. You are also expected to have adequate fluids and a road-worthy bicycle in good repair. Many rides, but not all, will include the opportunity to stop at a store to replenish supplies.
You should be prepared to fix a flat tire and perform other minor repairs on the road side. If you are new to cycling and are not comfortable with these procedures, don’t let that stop you. However, you might want to talk to a more experienced member before the ride so the group is prepared to help if necessary.
Safety On The Road
The club considers safety to be our very highest priority. Please review the information on the Safety Page before you join us for a ride.
We hope that you will find this site helpful; your questions and comments are welcomed.
