[CANCELLED] Tour de Fluvanna Road Ride (B)

This ride goes through open and rolling terrain and covers a good portion of eastern Fluvanna County and a bit of western Goochland County. The eastern section is delightfully flat, then the route descends to the town of Columbia where the Rivanna River joins the James. From there the short route heads more or less directly back to the start, while the long route continues through the Bremo Bluff area before looping around to Palmyra.

NOTE: As of 01/01/2022, we have become a member-supported club.  We encourage all of our cycling friends to join us.  For new riders, our club insurance covers non-members of the club for their first ride only.  Thanks.

Requirements For Riders

All riders are required to have a helmet; a tail light, Road ID and a rear-view mirror is strongly recommended.  You are also expected to have adequate fluids and a road-worthy bicycle in good repair.  Many rides, but not all, will include the opportunity to stop at a store to replenish supplies.

You should be prepared to fix a flat tire and perform other minor repairs on the road side.  If you are new to cycling and are not comfortable with these procedures, don’t let that stop you.  However, you might want to talk to a more experienced member before the ride so the group is prepared to help if necessary.
