Some D riders are planning an overnight ride on the New River Trail for the first two days of Labor Day weekend (September 3 and 4). You need a bike with medium to fat tires that can carry your gear. The trail starts in Pulaski and ends in Galax, about 50 miles, spend the night and return the next day. Choose whether you want to camp at the Cliffview campground (lovely spot right on the trail, primitive camping, no electricity, bring your food, they have water and a toilet) or stay in a hotel (some of us are choosing the Hampton Inn). Either way, please let me know if you would like to join by emailing casualriders@charlottesvillebicycleclub.org. You will need to make your own reservation so don’t wait too long. Hope to see you! Caroline, Tom and Kamyar.
