​Description:  This route is a shorter variation of the 57 mile Afton – Sherando – Waynesboro from the Greenwood Community Center.  It is a challenging, highly scenic route that begins on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The route climbs for much of the first 10 miles of the Parkway to Raven’s Roost (be sure to stop for the view) and then continues on to Love Gap. It then descends into the Shenandoah Valley to Sherando and on into Waynesboro. A moderately long climb takes you back to the Parkway.

Alerts:  Descent from Love Gap at mile 24 down into the Valley is steep and fast; the road is now in good condition.
